Copy/Line Editing

Copy and line editing entails leaving comments, edits, and suggestions, improving and/or elaborating on specific content if needed, enhancing language, refining wording and phraseology, improving sentence and paragraph structure, amplifying clarity, perfecting flow, ensuring author’s tone and style are consistent, etc. For book and novel manuscript copy and line editing, we charge $0.044 per word.

Developmental Editing

For developmental editing, in addition to proofreading and line editing, our editors focus specifically on the plot and plot-specific elements, such as pacing, structure, organization, chapter placement, plot point introduction, style and timing, character traits and believability, noting potential plot holes (if desired), overall organization and flow of the work from start to finish, etc. For book and novel manuscript developmental editing, we charge $0.051 per word, which equals out to $510 for every 10,000 words.
