We offer a 15% discount for all undergraduate students, as well as for postgraduates working towards their Master’s or Ph.D.
Proofreading
Proofreading entails checking for proper grammar, punctuation, typos, etc. For this process, we charge $0.034 per word. We use this pricing model for proofreading because it is a fairly straightforward process for any type of work, regardless of the subject matter or length. To get an idea of the pricing and time, you can refer to the below figure.
Editing/Copy Editing
Editing/copy editing entails leaving comments, edits, and suggestions, improving and/or elaborating on specific content as needed, fact checking, enhancing language, refining wording and phraseology, improving sentence, paragraph, and overall structure, amplifying clarity, perfecting tonality and flow, ensuring tone, style, and vernacular consistency, strengthening arguments, building upon ideas and the fleshing out of them, fortifying composition, etc.
For postgraduate students, working professionals in the academic field such as professors, scientists, or researchers, or for any work that is more than 5,000 words, we charge $80 per hour. The reason for this change in pricing model is that for longer bodies of work and for those that are niche and specified areas of study, which themselves are most often quite long in length, it is harder to gauge an exact time that is needed, as our editors need to familiarize themselves with the subject matter so that they can better edit and advise within the specific context, fact check, more effectively enhance and crystallize ideas and talking points, and assist in strengthening points. For a better idea of estimated cost and time based on your word and/or page length, you can refer to the below figure.
*Note: for purposes of estimation, there are roughly 500 words per page in a single-spaced pdf or Microsoft Word file. Additionally, time estimates are not meant to be construed as anticipated turnaround time - they are meant to convey overall hours an editor will spend completing work on your project. For an accurate approximation of when your work will be returned to you, you can assume that our editors will be dedicating normal eight-hour work days, five days a week, to your project. Let us know if you need a rushed timeline.
For undergraduate students or any work that is less than 5,000 words, we charge $0.05 per word. For an idea of pricing and time, you can see the figure below.
